Simple & Easy Easter Candle Ideas

I love decorating with candles for the holidays and Easter is no exception. There is something really pretty about candlelight set against the beautiful pastel colors of Easter decor.

Three lit candles cast a soft glow, surrounded by small white flowers and pink eggs in a decorative nest on a wooden table, creating a warm, cozy ambiance—perfect for Easter candle ideas.

But how do you go about decorating for Easter using candles? Keep reading to discover some of my favorite Easter candle ideas.

Easter Candles in a Jar

A rustic wooden tray holds a lit candle, casting a soft glow from its glass jar adorned with twine and greenery. Beside it, yellow eggs, speckled quail eggs, and a wicker heart rest on a mossy bed. In the background, a white cloth completes this charming Easter candle idea.

Candles set in jars are a classic home decoration that you can easily do for spring and Easter. The glass helps reflect the light around the space.

I love how in the photo above, moss, greenery and a small Easter egg were added to the glass jar for to make rustic Easter candles. A burlap bow adds a finishing touch. This would be a fun DIY Easter candle craft to try this year.

Easter Taper Candles

Three lit candles emit a soft glow from a rustic wooden holder, surrounded by decorative elements like speckled eggs, small nests, a yellow bird figurine, and various greenery on a dark marble background—perfect Easter candle ideas.

Do you like to decorate with taper candles? If so, don’t forget to use them for your Easter decorations. Taper candles are a great way to give some height to Easter tablescapes, centerpieces and mantel decorations.

One of the fun ways to decorate taper candles for Easter is to surround the taper candle holder with decorations such as Easter eggs, moss, flowers, etc.

In the photo above, a rustic log serves as a holder for the taper candles and other Easter decorations. You could also do the same idea using a dough bowl.

Easter Candles With Flowers

A beautiful wooden tray holds pink and orange tulips, surrounded by pastel-colored and speckled eggs. Two lit candles in glass holders create a soft glow, enhancing the warm, cozy ambience. The scene is softly lit by sunlight filtering through a window in the background, perfect for Easter candle ideas.

Using spring flowers is a great way to decorate for Easter. You can use fresh flowers, such as fresh cut tulips bought from a grocery store. Or consider buying faux spring flowers to use year after year.

Pair them with candles for a pretty glow. I like how in the photo above, flowers, Easter eggs and votive candles are all grouped together in a farmhouse tray. This would make a lovely Easter candle display for a coffee table centerpiece.

Easter Candles With Cross

A lit candle casts a soft glow over a cross-shaped cookie with floral icing, nestled on a textured surface. A small tag reading "Happy Easter" leans against the candle, while dried flowers and cozy gray fabric create a blurred backdrop, perfect for Easter candle ideas.

If you are religious, there are lots of pretty Easter crosses you can use for your Easter decorations. Small crosses, such as the one shown in the photo above can be set against pillar candles for a festive touch.

You can also tie a small cross to a candle using ribbon. If you’re worried about the risk of a fire, consider using flameless LED candles instead.

I have a collection of faux candles that I like to decorate with ribbons, flowers & other small details throughout the year. Learn more about how to decorate a candle with ribbon in this post: How To Decorate A Candle With Ribbon In Very Little Time

Easter Eggs and Candles

Three lit candles emit a beautiful glow, surrounded by a decorative wreath of flowers and colorful Easter eggs, featuring blue eggs with white daisies. This elegant arrangement sits on a wooden surface, providing inspiring Easter candle ideas against a softly blurred background.

There are so many pretty Easter eggs on the market to use for vase fillers and finishing touches in your Easter decorations. If you’re crafty, you can also make your own Easter egg decorations.

One of my favorite Easter candle ideas is to group pillar candles together in a tray or basket and filling in the space around them with greenery, flowers and Easter eggs.

Easter Table Centerpieces With Candles

A cozy living room scene features a white ceramic rabbit next to a glass jar filled with pussy willow branches. Several speckled eggs and an Easter candle create a beautiful glow on a wooden tray, with a soft-focus couch in the background.

Do you have a coffee table area or sideboard in your space that needs decorating? Or maybe you have a large kitchen counter that you like to decorate a bit for the holidays.

If so, consider making a nice Easter table centerpiece with candles. One of the quickest ways to do this is to gather together a tray, a jar candle and a vase or jar filled with decorative spring flowers. Group these items together with Easter eggs and an Easter bunny figurine for a festive look!

Egg Shaped Easter Candles

A decorated candle shaped like an egg, with floral patterns, sits in a cracked eggshell holder surrounded by colorful flowers. A beautiful glow tops the candle, casting warmth on the scene. Other candles and a floral mug are in the blurred background—perfect for Easter candle ideas.

Speaking of Easter eggs, I’m always on the lookout for Easter egg shaped candles! These fun candles are good to use for tablescapes or on a mantel for Easter candle decorating ideas.

Usually you can find smaller wax Easter egg candles, but I’ve also seen larger versions available such as the one shown in the photo above. Luminara also makes a flameless Easter egg candle which can be used year after year.

Easter Candle Arrangements

A white shelf featuring Easter candle ideas with lit candles on a speckled tray, a gray plant pot with green sprouts, and a small ceramic bunny figurine. A stack of books sits beside an empty picture frame, embodying cozy and minimalist decor.

We often think of Easter decor as being pastel shades, but if your looking for a modern take, consider using white, ivory, beige and other neutral colors for Easter decorations.

These colors work well for candle arrangements as many pillar candles already come in white or off white colors. In the photo above, ivory pillar candles are grouped together on a speckled tray with bulbs and crystals for a modern Easter display.

Easter Candle Holders

A lit white candle on a glass stand casts a beautiful glow, surrounded by pastel-colored eggs. Pink flowers in the background enhance the soft and festive atmosphere, perfect for Easter candle ideas.

I mentioned taper candle holders earlier, but you can decorate other candles holders for Easter as well. Glass pillar candle holders work well to elevate the candles and add some height to you decor.

Around the bottom, use fabric, greenery, wired ribbon and Easter eggs to complete this Easter candle decorating idea.

Easter Bunny Figurines & Candles

A speckled rabbit ornament is flanked by two lit candles, casting a soft glow on the shelf. Pink flowering branches surround the display, and pastel-colored speckled eggs are arranged in front, creating a lovely spring-themed scene perfect for Easter candle ideas.

Do you have any favorite Easter bunny figurines you like to use each year? I know I have a few that I enjoy seeing come the springtime. Bunny figurines paired with candles, Easter eggs and flowers make for a really cute Easter vignette.
