So what’s going to be popular for Christmas trends for 2023/24? Now these are just my observations, but the following section lists some of the trends & themes I’m seeing on the market for Christmas decorating in 2023.

All Things Vintage Christmas

Vintage style Christmas trees might seem old timey, but they’re becoming more popular in 2023. I think this is because there is something timeless and nostalgic about vintage Christmas tree decorations.

As the world gets crazier by the minute, many of us long for simpler times of days past. Check out the RAZ Imports “Vintage Farmhouse” tree in the photo above for more inspiration.

Coastal Christmas

Coastal style Christmas decorations have been a thing for several years now. But I’ve seen a few retailers come out with new beach & coastal themed ornament collections for the 2023 holiday season.

If you like the idea of using blues and whites for your Christmas decorations, this is a good 2023 Christmas tree theme to try.

Rustic Christmas

Along the lines of a coastal Christmas is using nature inspired Christmas decorations for a rustic themed Christmas tree. With the fast pace of our society today, many people are looking to slow down a bit at the holidays and keep it simple.

The 2023 Christmas tree theme of rustic decor does just that. Plus there are so many cool decorations you can use for a rustic themed Christmas tree. No wonder this is becoming more of a Christmas tree trend in 2023.

Silver & Grey Color Schemes

Decorators keep saying that the grey home decor trend is on it’s way out. That may be so, but I’ve seen a few trees this year using grey as one of the main colors within the overall color scheme. This is a little different than using silver, which is always a popular Christmas decoration color.

Sleigh Bells

Sleigh bells are a classic Christmas decoration going back to olden times. However, I see them being used on quite a few Christmas tree themes in 2023. That includes “regular” sleigh bells in red or gold colors. But also “rustic” style bells that are designed to look weathered and worn. Both styles look so pretty with red velvet ribbons!

Also, RAZ Imports featured some wicker bells on a few of their trees this year. What a great decoration for a farmhouse style Christmas tree theme.

Grandmillennial Christmas

I mentioned in my post on Eclectic Christmas tree theme that a “grandmillennial” style tree was such a fun way to decorate for the holidays. These preppy trees use fun colors and look great paired with vintage ornaments.

Pink Christmas trees have been around for a few years now and I don’t see them going away anytime soon. In fact, with the popularity of the Barbie movie in 2023, I imagine there will be quite a few Barbie fans looking to add some pink touches to their Christmas decorations this year.

  • Etsy has a few sellers offering Christmas tree decor bundles as well. This is a good option for those short on time.
