Pumpkins on a table with a candle, vase of flowers

Confused about when to decorate for each season? Looking to get organized with a seasonal decorating schedule that you can print out and reference?

I know for me, sometimes it feels like a season or holiday is about to approach and I’ve barely had time to decorate.

Other times I really want to start decorating for a holiday but I get worried about what friends & neighbors will think if I put up decorations too soon.

A stack of papers titled "Seasonal Decor Calendar" lies on a wooden table surrounded by autumn leaves and pumpkins. Each page lists monthly decorating tasks starting from January through December.

A few years ago, I decided I wanted to get more organized with the seasonal and holiday decor I wanted to display around the house. I wanted to feel like I was on top of things, instead of just winging it and hoping I would get around to decorating.

I started by creating a simple printable seasonal decorating schedule for myself. And you know what? It really helped!

Stack of seasonal decor calendars on a wooden surface surrounded by red tulips. Each page lists monthly decoration tasks and tips. January through December are partially visible.

It’s not anything fancy or complicated. But this simple printable holiday decorating schedule kept me on track and feeling like I had a plan for seasonal decorating. It also helped me see the big picture – a seasonal decor timeline!

Today, I want to share this printable seasonal decorating schedule with you.

Get yourself organized and start enjoying the seasons! It’s easy to know when to change seasonal decor once you have a plan.

Use this printable seasonal decorating schedule to remember when to decorate for different seasons & holidays:

  • spring
  • summer
  • autumn/fall
  • winter
  • Valentine’s Day
  • St. Patrick’s Day
  • Easter
  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July
  • Labor Day
  • Halloween
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas
  • New Years

It’s month by month and touches on decorating even in January, February & August (you know those months without much going on).

A seasonal decor calendar with monthly decoration tips is displayed on a wooden surface. Pine branches and red baubles adorn the top corners, adding a festive touch.

Knowing when to decorate for each season not only saves you time but money as well. You’ll know exactly when to shop for decorations both at regular price and at clearance prices.

Have you’ve ever been to the store and thought “I’ll come back later and buy these on clearance” only to forget? The seasonal decorating schedule notes clearance sales so you can stock up for next year.

To get your copy of the free printable seasonal decor schedule, leave your name & email in the form below, then click the button:

It’s a seasonal decor timeline checklist in PDF format that you can download straight from you email inbox. Print it out at home or use a professional printing service.

Holiday Decorating Schedule Printable

With this free printable seasonal decorating schedule, you’ll always have a good idea about when to decorate for seasons or holidays.

Or when it’s time to get out the boxes and take down the decor. It’s designed so you can easily cross out or skip over a holiday if you don’t feel like decorating.

A collection of seasonal decor calendar pages spread out on a textured surface, surrounded by autumn-themed decorations, including pumpkins, acorns, leaves, and a wooden bowl with red berries and pinecones.

This seasonal decor timeline includes all of the major US holidays, but you’re always welcome to add additional holidays that you celebrate. It also included are sections about planning for seasonal get togethers (e.g. Thanksgiving dinner).

This will help you figure out additional items you might need to shop for in preparation for the holidays so you can stay organized and focused.

One more quick thing –

There are no dates on the holiday decorating schedule so you can print it out year after year. It’s an easy thing to add to a household binder or holiday planner each year too so you know when to change seasonal decor.

Go ahead and enter your name and email in the box below. Click the button and check your email inbox. You can download the printable seasonal decor schedule from there!

Now I’ll be honest. My printable holiday decorating schedule was just the starting point for me. It takes me a few more lists and templates to get fully organized for seasonal decorating each year.

I ended up creating lots of other printables to help with holiday decorating:

  • Seasonal decor inventory sheets
  • Storage box tags
  • Seasonal decor layout plans
  • Month by month calendars & checklists
  • Decorating ideas for each holiday & season
  • Shopping lists, etc.
